Children are naturally curious. They look at the world around them and develop their own ideas based on what they see and hear every day. Capturing that sense of amazement, curiosity and discovery, is what we want every Science student to experience throughout their time at Morley Senior High School.
In Science, we lay the foundations for students to understand the world through the disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics.
Our Aim
Our dedicated and specialised team of teachers place importance on the understanding of scientific concepts through practical experiences and experimentation.
It enables students to be capable in applying critical and creative thinking, have a willingness to seek possibilities, consider alternatives, solve problems and be curious – all the skills and traits that prepare students for life and work after their education.
Programs We Offer
Science is compulsory for students in Years 7-10 and introduces students to the following areas: Biological Science, Chemical Science, Earth and Space Science and Physical Science.
Our senior pathway gives students the opportunity to further extend their knowledge of the subjects taught in lower school with a choice of Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology, Biology, General Science in Practice and VET course Certificate II – Sampling and measurement.
