A healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Good nutrition and regular physical activity is important for growth and development. Our courses are designed to get students moving, and help them make informed decisions about their health and physical wellbeing, well beyond their school years.
Our Aim
The Health and Physical Education faculty at Morley Senior High School aims to assist students in developing knowledge, understanding and skills for:
Creating and maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle
Building respectful relationships
Using effective communication
Programs We Offer
Our courses offer students an experiential curriculum that is contemporary, relevant, challenging, enjoyable and physically active.
Opportunities are provided for students within a variety of contexts to build resilience, make informed decisions and take personal responsibility for their own health, physical activity levels, safety and well being.
This application of knowledge and practise of skills strives to meet the needs of all students and prepare them to lead active and successful lives into adulthood.
Health and Physical Education is compulsory for students in Years 7-10. Students may also apply for our school-based Soccer program.
Senior students can choose from Sport and Recreation Certificate, Health Studies and Physical Education Studies.
