Empowering Indigenous Students

Morley Senior High School is proud to offer the Polly Farmer ‘Follow the Dream’ program to Aboriginal students who identify as aspirational in their academics and pursuit of pathways.
The program aims to offer students with educational and emotional support while also providing encouragement as they pursue their goals.

At Morley Senior High School students in the program have access to:
– One-on-one support from a coordinator to outline their goals
– After school tutors who can offer support with homework tasks, in class learning, and building sustainable study habits
– Support with pathway and career planning; including the opportunity to attend universities, TAFEs, and other places of further study on excursions.
– Access to a well-resourced and culturally responsive space within the school
– Regular opportunities to reflect on their individual progress and goals
– A collaborative approach incorporating classroom teachers, career practitioners, families, and cultural liaisons
